Hey Everyone!
Our day started with another huge breakfast and some bus interviews and singing. It is very overcast but the rain is holding off as we head to the Old City Jerusalem. Everyone wrote notes last night, which they are excited to put in the Kotel, and we brought tzedakah to give out as well
The weather was mostly clear for our day of touring The old city of jerusalem. We learned a great deal about the Cardon, the heart of the city And even had a chance to buy a few souvenirs. Some people really enjoyed buying pastries gelato and hot coffee in the old city. We went up on the roots and look down at the old city and learned about the 4 quarters. and had an amazing view of the dome of the rock.
The highlight of the day for everyone was their visit to the Kotel. Each participant had a private moments to put prayers in the wall and say some private prayers. Some brought tallises from home which they put on while saying prayers. Others wanted to put on tefillin. We ended with a group circle facing the kotel, sharing words which described our kotel experience. We ended our day in the Old City with 3 restaurant choices where people enjoyed pizza, felafel, shwarma, shnitzel and fries on the side. The group then headed back to the hotel to prepare for shabbat. Shabbat shalom!
